About Me

Hello, my name is Sherry Terry. I live in a tiny town in Texas where I feel on top of the world because we have a 24-hour Walmart. I worked as a Radiographer for 18 years, was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy 100 years ago, and I raised two great kids all by myself. Now I’m a grandmother of two even better kids. I started writing the next greatest novel to ever be put on paper about 10 years ago and quickly found out it was a baby with a poopy diaper. I discovered the world of critiquing, and I haven’t looked back since.

The excitement and joy I get from helping other writers become better at the craft is like nothing I’ve done before. I love it, and I can’t wait to show you some of the tricks and treats I’ve learned to make a story shine. I believe in supporting you to the end, and I’m loyal to a fault. I am straightforward, honest, and thorough.

My favorite genre is historical romance, but I am open to critiquing anything. Check out my free short stories, Silence and The Old Man’s Chair to get a better feel for my writing abilities.

Thank you for taking the time to look around my blog. You can contact me at verysherryterry@yahoo.com with any questions, comments, or complaints. I will be sure to file the latter in the appropriate place. I have a mulch pile out back that always needs a little fertilizer. Friend me on Facebook, follow me on Twitter, and watch the inspiration for my stories unfold on Pinterest.

As you can see, I like humor. This doesn’t mean I don’t take critiquing seriously. I take it very seriously, but I find if I can make you smile, it lessens the blow of finding out the things that are “wrong” in your story.
