My Review: 4.7-Stars

The Clay Queen was very different than anything I’ve ever read, and I loved it. This is not my “go-to” genre for pleasure, but I’m so glad I read it. Ono Ekeh has opened my eyes to knew things. I like the cover. It is simple and the woman is beautiful. Although it didn’t give me any sense of what the book would be about, I think it fits the story perfectly.

The writing is well done and the story is well researched. I’m a romance lover, and while this isn’t a romance per-say, The Clay Queen is a love story. Full of devotion and sacrifices. I find paranormal aspects in the story with Bridget’s abilities, and Jeremy is willing to do anything to save her.

Lots of tense, on the edge moments that will keep you turning the page with a rich history sprinkled throughout the story. There were a couple of scenes I felt were a bit of a repeat, but it didn’t take away from my overall experience.

I recommend this book to everyone who likes to read. Give it a shot, you will be pleasantly surprised.
